The next public open house is scheduled for April 2012.

Presentations on the Downtown Transportation Study, including the proposed 2012 Bond Street Improvements, and the Hemisfair Streets Project will be at 6:15 p.m. An Open House, for both projects, will be available from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to provide an opportunity to talk with project teams, get questions answered and participate in the further development of these projects.

Meeting Summary
November 29, 2011

The meeting format was designed to take full advantage of the attendee’s time. There were two series of three fifteen-minute presentations, from each of the represented entities; with a continuous open house from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Questions and comments were directed to the open house area in order to maximize the three-hour meeting window. Each registered attendee was provided contact information and the project website address. Comment cards were available in the open house area staged in the Central Library’s Gallery. Presentations were made in the library’s auditorium.

The Downtown Transportation Study is a “DO IT” response to the SA2020 challenge “DREAM IT, MAP IT, DO IT.” Safe and efficient downtown transportation can catalyze new development and transform the downtown experience for residents, business owners, employees and tourists alike. The Study will align with the HemisFair Park Area Framework and Master Plan, VIA Streetcar and Multimodal Plans and the City’s new Bicycle Master Plan and Complete Streets Policy.
